The Meccanic Shop has been successfully racing European, Japanese and Domestic marques since its founding in 1996. Since then the Meccanic Shop racing team has competed in venues across North America, winning countless races and championships along the way.

In 2005 the Meccanic Shop race team formed Davis Motorsports with the team’s premier sponsor Davis Acura in Langhorne, Pennsylvania. Davis Motorsports competed in the Grand American Koni Challenge series in 2006 with a trio of Acura RSX’s, and again in 2007 with an Acura TSX and Acura RSX. The team notably won the Grand-Am Cup Avondale Mazda ST 200 in 2006 with Michael Galati and Bob Endicott piloting the Davis Motorsports 144 RSX.
